What started as a small Pennsylvania agency has grown into a respected middle and large-market brokerage, serving clients across the region with deep expertise and personal attention.
1956
Donald Lechner begins selling insurance policies in Pennsylvania, laying the foundation for what would become a multi-generational firm.
1967
The agency is formally incorporated, establishing Lechner Stauffer as an independent brokerage built for the long term.
1984
John Kauffman joins the firm, bringing a new generation of leadership and a deepening focus on commercial risk management.
